Ur-Quattro Strut Mounts

OK I've heard rumor of using the upper strut bearing from an Ur-Quattro on
the typ 89 Coupe/90 series cars.  Since I am considering a suspension
upgrade in the very near future, I am interested in exactly what difference
this "upgrade" would make in terms of ride vs. handling.

Also, while we are on the topic, Sierra Motorsport sells a "billet aluminum"
strut mount.  Obviously this would be an even stiffer mount.  What are the
advantages/disadvantages of stiffness at the strut mount?? I am interested
in improving handling but not destroying the ride - obviously there will be
compromise (can't change one without changing the other).
