I was intending to have a aluminium spacer made up for my EFI project,
but this phenolic spacer sounds ideal.

However, it seems the spacer on that Ford Essex engine is quite roughly
cut, leading me to believe one could get a slab of the stuff and cut the
gasket oneself.

What sort of companies sell phenolic sheets? I'm no plastics expert, so
what other names is phenolic known as? I need to know that 'cos the
folks out here in Africa tend to talk about things by different names
(Try asking them about AN fuel fittings!). I can always have a workshop
make a piece using a gasket as a pattern.
