I have a 1987 CGT and am running 7x15" rims. I never rub and have not had to roll the fenders. A buddy has a 1986 CGT and is running 7x16s without rubbing. I think the key is using the correct offset. Stock offset is ET45, on my 15s it is ET37 and works perfectly.

Folks,
i want to fit some 7j x 15 inch rims with 205/50 tyres onto my Coupe q 1987,
problem i have is that they will foul the rear fenders on the inner lip.
What is the best way to alter the shape of the lip without cutting the
metal/damaging paint.
Thanks
Iain
