Cleaning ISV- Best method?

The subject of that thread was air temp sensors.
For ISV's, I think carb leaner is the best. For optimal
effectiveness, I put
12 volts to the valve while spraying the internals with cleaner.
That rotates
the moving parts, helping clear the offending gunk. I use a
connector pulled
from a junk yard.

Don't give these things 12 volts.  You'll let the smoke out.  Use a 9 volt
battery to activate it.
