A6 powerplant advice

I am starting to look for an A6 to replace the family truckster and I need =
a little advice.  Virtually every A6Q that I have seen advertised sports th=
e 2.8L V6 powerplant, except for one.  It is a 1998 with an I-5 turbocharge=
d engine.  The car is just a bit older than I planned but appears to be in =
great shape with low miles.  Because of my experience with my 87.5 CGT, my =
gut is tellining me that this may be worth pursuing, vigorously.  Some pres=
s reports I've seen seem to support my uneducated opinion.

Any fellow listers willing to share their experience on the performance and=
 reliabilty of these engines?
