Hi list,

This months CCC has two articles on the ur-q. One is a `Clinic' feature on
the car owned by the business partner of one of the regular contributors
to CCC. The car has a chipped transplanted 20v motor into a 1987 car. The
Clinic feature basically takes the car through its paces, checks things
like alignment and measures corner weights. The other feature is about
fitting uprated discs and pads under the 17 inch alloys they have
retrofitted to the same car. Articles are alright and there are some good
pictures of the car cornering hard.

They mention that whatever the 20v motor is putting out now, c. 350 bhp if
memory serves, it's not enough and they plan to put in an uprated tt 2.7l
V6. Mentioning better weight distribution and the possibility of putting a
larger chargecooler up front as advantages of this approach over tuning
the 20v motor a bit more...

Cheerio,

Graham.
