quattro digest, Vol 1 #3458 - Coolant Bleeding

I am assuming that you have the climate control head set to "Hi" to keep
it open, right?

Basically fill the system, run it to open the thermostat, (again keeping
the heater core open), fill as the levels drop and
run until the cooling fan comes on. Obviously, leave the radiator cap off
or at least very loose.

If it doesn't bleed out with the car parked on level ground, the next
step I'd try (after the level ground try to bleed the radiator shell) is
parking the car nose up to bleed out the core, then back to level again
('cuz the bottle, hence the opening is now going to be a little lower in
this position, not the best for bleeding.)
