(87 1/2 Coupe) doing t-belt, No Cover?

HAUDI'all!

I'm getting ready to do the timing belt (H20 pump, tensioner) on my 87.5 GT Coupe. I have noticed that there is no timing belt cover on the engine.

Do I still have to remove the crank pulley to exchange the t-belt?
Is it safe to run the engine without the timing belt cover?
What are the torque specs? (don't have a Bentley)
