eh, maybe, but you're not gonna get much current from that little
battery - maybe enough to make the motor "try" to move?

Why not just use some homemade jumper wires fro the fusebox or battery,
with a fuse in line (10A ought to work)?

Hmmmm - one for the left and one for the right.  5k's have two separate
switches in the their door handle mounted "control complex."

Another option would be a used 80/90 switch - not an exact fit, and
you'll need to make an adapter harness, but they are much better sealed
than the type 85 units.

If you had to go new, I'd make the same recomendation.
