Your symptoms are the first signs that the Climate Control Programmer is
on it's way out.  I'll use my psychic powers here, in the near future I
forsee your car going to full defrost no matter which button you press on
the climate control.  ;-)

Check the archives, plenty of posts on the programmer.  If you've done
anything under the dash lately, there is the remote possibility that one
of the vacuum lines got cut or yanked out of place.
