EEK! Please tell me you're kidding, a GM engine in your Audi? Are you trying to tick off the Audi gods? Keep up with that kind of thinking and they'll get so ticked they'll take it out on everybody who has an Audi...

Waiting in the barber shop for a long overdue trim (I'm frightening my
flight students), I was leafing through a newish issue of Rod & Truck.

New MB500SL, $90,000. Hahahahah

Dodge/Chrysler "Razor" two seater, 6 speed, TT knockoff, $14,500 MSRP . . .
interesting.

Best item was something from GM's immediate future - a derivation of their
4.2 V-6 engine, a 3.5 liter inline _5_ cylinder, turbo, fuel injected,
computer controlled, makes 315 hp stock. Sheesh, sounds like Audi in 1984,
but at almost twice the displacement.

Now if I wait a year or so, I'll be able to buy one of these engines from
the pick and pull for their standard price of $179.95 ("any engine in the
yard, $179.95"). Wonder if it will fit into my 86 5 KS? Wonder who will
have a chip and a spring for it? Man, 350 to 400 reliable HP? and it fits?
sign me up!

Best Regards,

Mike Arman
