Rust on the sunroof, and sunroof only. Metal experts??/

Huw may well be correct about what I said about the bolts. But I thought
some cgts had galvanized panels, the later ones that is, anyhow doesn't
matter. If the rust problem is not about the bolt holes then insulating them
is not really going to help that much, that will only prevent festering
about the bolt holes, obviously the best approach is to treat the surface,
if it's a rally car paint finish is not all that important is it?

I do have very little rust around the holes, exposed metal.

The rust are in a form of very small dots all over the sunroof, close and
far
from the holes.

Also, I didn't have any sign of this rust before sealing the sunroof with
the
fasteners.

So, based on your observation, I could be stuck in a corner.

At this point I'll try the washers, unless a metal expert comes with a
explanation.
