Help needed - rear strut removal [4kq]

Both those areas are an interference fit, so nothing will just pop out, you
will need to heat the housing with a propane torch or similar to get some
expansion, then some pressure to get it the rest of the way out.  Its a tough
area, but some patience will pay off.
