Fun Audi weekend (shifter, brakes, suspension)

Hey y'all!
So I got visitation to the Audity for the weekend (no parking permit
required on campus on weekends) and ooh boy did we have fun!
It started with some crappy running, but I'm used to that by now. But
at some point in the weekend, my (now this is an amateur guess based on
what used to happen in my BMWs) shift linkage came loose.
Symptoms: it has the usual resistance when I push it side to side in
neutral, but up and down has absolutely none. It even stays where I
push it. It is also harder to get into gear (esp. reverse). Any BTDTs
would be appreciated, and if anybody told me (truthfully) that it could
be fixed with the Blau short shift kit, I would be stoked.

On to the brakes... In short, they work. I was coming up the perimeter
road (that's the 45 mph one that gives you all the pretty views at
UCSC) pretty late when I saw a deer. I slowed, he didn't move, I
slammed on the brakes, he went the wrong way. He ended up sorting
himself out, got out of the way, but KICKED MY FRONT BUMPER. I think I
heard him laughing. I went back and measured, I left about 65 feet of
Bridgestone Potenza on the newly paved road. It also made me carsick,
so she's going in for the new suspension within the next week or two.
Oh, and if anybody wants a stolen 1982 Porsche 924 Turbo for $450,
email me.

TIA!

R&D Motorsports is like Automotive God... they finally got the Isuzu
working, and they mess with my Audi whenever I have money
