Radiator Connections

I was idling my 90 90Q when there was a sudden cloud of white smoke from
the engine compartment. Engine was turned off.

The large top radiator hose had broken away from the radiator. Inside the
hose was a part of the plastic connector which extends from the radiator. I
re-attached the hose to the connector that was still there, made it to a
service station and filled up with water.

Do I need to replace the radiator? I have been running for a while without
a leak, but I'm nervous that the pressure will, at the worst time, break
off the rest of the connector.

How do you change the coolant? I tried loosening both hose clamps on the
heater hose connection, but I could not get the short rubber hose off on
either side. Then I tried to use the bleed screw on the hose to the heater,
but nothing came out, even after 20 minutes of idling.

Any suggestions welcome.
