Its pretty easy.
1. Remove the 4 screws from the front bezel, then pull forward
slightly. Now remove the cover by pulling back and spreading the sides.
2. Using a ice pick or similar, disconnect the wiring from the switches, do
not attempt to pop the switches out of the bezel. This is what breaks most
of them.
3. With the front bezel and cover removed, take off the 2 side screws
holding the instrument console to the dash. If you're lucky, the ears will
not be too badly broken. If they are, try using some fender washers when
you reassemble. Now pull instrument cluster slightly forward and then
reach around to the back and disconnect the speedometer cable. Its a
bayonet mount, so you'll have to push in slightly and then twist. Because
of the big spring in the connector, the plastic shell breaks alot.
4. Now just unplug the 2 harness connectors off the back of the IC and then
lift it out.
As they say, assembly is the reverse of removal :^)
