fluid filling techniques?

A method that I learned while working on motorcycles is to simply attach a
length of hose to the nozzel on the gear oil bottle. Insert the hose into
the filler hole, invert the bottle and squeeze. It doesn't matter if the
bottle top is above or below the filler hole.
