I would be interested in which way you go, occasionally I get a slight whine
from one of the diffs on my 90q, and have contemplated draining and
refilling, but as yet have not decided what fluid to use.

Subject: 92 CQ - what additive is safe to use and worth putting in
transmission?

I have come to the conclusion that my slight transmission noise is front
differential bearing(s) - need to wait a month or so to fix it. I've been
given a guesstimate of about £450-500GBP to do the actual repair ( i.e. not
including time to remove/refit gearbox).
It would be nice to find something that might quieten it down in the
meantime. I was intending draining the existing oil and replacing it with
the OEM G50 oil anyway.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.

TIA,

Ewan Hopkins.
