Wow, if I could afford to have my car worked on by R&D Motorsports and bop
down to the Ventana Inn for lunch I would likely be driving a new RS6 ;-)
On a more serious note, R&D does do good honest work. I was a customer of
theirs many moons ago when I had a P-car and they were just Rick and Dave
and they were reasonably priced and very helpful. It was around 11 or 12
years ago now they quoted me for a 5ktq steering rack job at some $200
*more* than the Audi dealership (Anderson Behel in San Jose) that I stopped
going there. They have a great reputation for good high quality service, and
an even greater reputation for being perhaps the most expensive Audi shop on
the planet.
Unfortunately, for those of us in the Santa Cruz, CA. area there are few
other choices. FWIW, Optimal Auto Care (primarily a BMW shop) do work on
Audis, but I have yet to try them.
I am glad to hear you are happy and had a positive experience there though.
