Thanks. But I didn't give it any thought at all.  It's what I used
to do before I got laid off. If it were commercially viable for a
non-Audi enterprise, I'd find the funding.  But VW/Audi has
the most to gain -- simplifying their parts updates, inventory
control (supply-side and demand-side), and customer database.

It pains me to think the VW/AUdi has a bunch of highly paid
professionals who have probably debated this to death. Or
worse, dismissed it immediately when it was first mentioned
in a meeting.
