Well, that "ram air" ought to be good for 1.5-2 hp, and the exhaust
another 5 or so. What do they claim for the cams? Somehow I suspect
you are not going to turn that n/a 20v into a V8 beater this way.

Uh... as I was reading I was thinking, one, maybe *he* slammed his
brakes for something like the same reason *you* slowed down, only did it
a bit later. Then I also thought, hey, maybe he realized he was
drastically speeding and needed to shave off a few mph? What exactly
*are* the rules for drag racing on the street, anyway?
