Keyed Bentley....

so would I, but unhappily, the culprit escaped in the dark of the night.

Another one that I had when a very young insurance type involved a 1966
Mustang coupe with high performance suspension and engine from the factory.
My client and friend had bought the car and lovingly restored it at great
expense of labor and research....completely redone, except for final
painting. As love would have it, he just HAD to take it out that one
wonderful early Spring night, in primer, to a restaurant as a sort of "make
peace with the wife" sort of thing.

Came out of one of Cape Cod's finer eateries around 8:30 to find the
car.....GONE.

Never a trace.

He got full value of the car....a 1966 Mustang fastback (I think) coupe,
with high performance 289....but the other stuff, and all the work? Nope.
He got 100% of the ACV...actual cash value of THAT car, but that represented
about one third of what he actually had in it.

Well, after all, it WAS a labor of love.

Wasn't it?
