S6 Avant- Subwoofer amp NFG

Hey everyone,
Wile poking around today (with the radio on) I came across the subwoofer in
the cargo bay, and noticed it's not working....
I've done a little testing, the rear door speakers do work when the "box" is
plugged in. With the box unplugged, they don't work, so I assume the "box"
has the amp for the rear speakers as well. There is nothing wrong with the
two woofers (other than being small ;) The only problem is the sub amplifier
being non-functional. I tested the woofers (with another amp) and they are
working fine. So has anyone ever had this problem? Time to buy a new car? :)
