I was employed (and trained) by a dealer in the 73-74 era.  The manual
trans, next to the carb, was the weakest link of the 100LS.  In the 14
months I worked there, I did 27 manual trannies (mostly bearings and
synchros).  Later, when I had my own shop, I continued to do them.  Lest I
forget, a close 3rd was/is the right motor mount, which is unobtainable new,
and probably used as well.  It was hard to get as early as 1980.  John
