The right answer depends on whether you're a gamblin' man or not. I've
seen transmission/diff damage from front lift tows in as little as 2
miles. Good to keep in mind that most of the Q's we're talking about
here are more than a decade old, and some bordering on the 300K mile
mark, I'm one who's not willing to bet the back forty on a hard
eight....send a flatbed or don't bother to come out.
