MC engine rebuild - low oil pressure

Elliott,
   I was in the exact same situation about 2 months ago with my turbocharged
7A.  I did all the things you listed plus changing oil pumps and replacing
the block check valve (you don't have one).  In my case I finally tracked
the problem down to the oil cooler thermostat.  I also suspected (and
replaced anyway) the piston oil squirters.  My suggestion is to find another
oil cooler thermostat and swap the whole thing with a used one first.   If
that doesn't do it, then pull the pan and hit everything else on the list
while you're in there...
