Per,
I used carpenter clamp ( the one which has sliding piece on long rail to make it
adjustable. They are sold variable lenght. I bought one of about 50-60cm. Then I
fixed caliper in vise, used socket and clamp to drive sping down and, it seems to me,
I had both hands free to put the ring in place with long nose pliers.
