It should be part of the engine number, just above where the control
pressure regulator (aka warm up regulator) mounts to the block.

I thought that the MC basically superceded the KH.  I am not aware of
any overlap.  These engines were used only on turbo type 44 cars.
BTW the Bentley manual says the switchover occurred in 1/85.
