Konstantin asked about the 100/A6/S4/S6 CD versus the paper manual. Unfortunately, the book is out of print, so you're limited to the CD. A revised edition of the CD is due around the first of the year; better navigation, etc., generally same repair content.

Huw responded about the 80/90/coupe 20v book '88-92, comparing it to the first generation CD. Unfortunately, the CD is no longer in print and won't be in the near future, so you're limited to the book (or a scanned electronic copy of the microfiche, but that's even more difficult to use, and has no wiring diagrams).

I'll add, the first generation CDs were a little clunky; the current version (2.0) is much better, and there will be an even better version (2.5) available early next year.
