details of the new tt have been released.  3.2 vr6 engine rated for 250hp.

most novel aspect is the use of a twin clutch 6-speed transmission (a la
quattro sport s1).  this allows pre-selection of the next (sequential) gear
while the previous gear is engaged.  alternate gears are arranged on 2
layshafts (1-3-5, 2-4-6) to alow this to happen.  it looks as though the
transmission is "automatic" (a la smg).

more details will be forthcoming in the next months.  release early next
year apparently.
