Humm.. Happen more often when it's wet out?
I'd start by looking at the condition of your alternator belt, and seeing if it is too loose. If that belt slips for an instant, you'd hear a short squeal, and an accompanying dip in power. Happens to me on occasion in the 4kq when I hit a large puddle, and the alternator gets drenched.
