In my 4ktq I use mobil 15w50 but even in my stock 4kq I used to run 15w40...
these motors generally like a thicker oil... although i am using 10w30 to
break in my 2nd turbo motor right now and have had no pressure problems...

I have the senders positioned exactly as you do guage in car reads at least
3.5 bar when revved hot... oil temps just below 130...

I don't think it matters but not too sure...

That would be my guess as well... good luck... changing the pump is a real
pita...
