Brake master cylinder 89 200T no Q

Hi,
Just got a call from the shop I took my '89 200 Turbo to get the brake
master cylinder changed. It seems that they've been trying to find the part
at different aftermarket suppliers, but no one seems to fit. The cylinder
they send appears as to be as the one for this model & year, but it is
longer, and the fittings are not the same and you cannot put the reservoir
in place over it. Anyone has ever heard of two different Brake Master
Cylinders for the 1989 200? Any help appreciated
