type 44 front strut damping ring protusions

Hi list,

I have my front strut in bits, including the rubber damping ring that fits
the top of the spring on my 1989 100 tq saloon (L chassis). The dealer's
ETKA system said the damping ring has 2 protusions, the one I pulled off
has 3. The cars with 3 protusions were listed as much earlier than mine
(the quattros) or 2wd (up to 91 2wd had the 3 protusion damping ring).
Anyone got a 1989 type 44 tq saloon (with factory climate control) MC2
engine, had their front struts off and can remember what damping ring was
fitted??
