First snow in NE brings strange coincidence in 95 90q

John,

On my 86 4kq, I lost only the windshield washers. But I bet the flash to
pass is activated the exact same way on the other stalk. On mine, they're
the only two functions that require you to pull on the stalks. They're easy
to swap too. Just remove the steering wheel then pull off the stalk and its
attached "ring" that surrounds the steering column. You'll see that there
are some contact "blades" and on mine, the washer one was loose. You might
even be able to fix it with a dab of epoxy. I didn't try to fix mine since I
had a spare, so I'm not sure about the epoxy.

Hope the airbag doesn't make wheel removal a PITA.

Of course, I'd check the pump first to see if it's dead.
