Broken into Audi on Thanks Giving Morn

Cade,
Don't waste your money on the alarm. The ol' smash & pry takes less than a
minute. They'll do it even with the alarm screaming. BTDT (no, not robbed
people :-). I lost two windows/radios/dashboards in two years, the second
one with a top of the line (at the time) alarm system installed (had the
same thoughts you have now).
Better to spend a few extra bucks on one of those cool, hidden faceplate
stereos. They've even got them automatically motorized now, when you turn
off the car the faceplate rotates to a blank panel.
Personally, I've given up on fancy car electronics. Insurance doesn't cover
them. There are cravings for a V1 and a GPS, though :-)
Thankfully, this kind of theft is less common these days. Not like in the
'80's. There's not enough money in it anymore. It was probably some kids.

    3) Anyone know of a good Alarm for this car. Since I have a nasty
feeling that once I get the car fixed up, it will get hit again. Anyone
know of a good brand that they have used? Features, likes dislikes.
I hope by begining of next week to get the Audi back up and happy
again, never know, maybe I will find some good parts to replace some of
my worn parts... ;)
