What oil for less leaking?

I have been running full synth (usually Mobile 15-50) for quite some
time now, and I don't want to start a debate about which is better.

However, my V8 (which I had nothing but problems with ever since I got
it) has some minor leaks and I am considering trying something else that
may eliminate some of the leaks. I remember reading that some of you
switched to dyno and it helped. My car is a 90 V8q with about 117k miles.

Any BTDT?
