Machining the head is a great way to get compression from most engines (I
have a head for my Alfa that gives about 12:1) But on the 5 cylinder, if you
take too much off, you might not be able to tension the timing belt! Not
good :) You might be able to find a different belt the right length, but who
knows...
Just something to watch out for
