Jeremy, I'd say the aftermarket window regulator I got from TPC  for my '87
4K is far superior to the factory version. It has a flex drive vs. the
cockamamie cable rig Audi stuck in there. I think it cost $100-$120.
Replacement requires some minor drilling.
