I can't find the p/n right now, but VM Autohaus has
them. I think around $80-100. Maybe as much as $120.
They didn't currently have one and I passed. Kind of
glad I did. I was getting intermittant code and check
engine light. When it goes "bad", the power dropped
horribly. Like you threw an anchor out the window.
And it should throw the check engine light every time.
Anyway it wasn't the sensor. The wiring was still
connected, but not a sound connection. By wiggling
one of the wires I could reproduce the fault. Rewired
the connections (I used terminals) and have had no
problems since. Also, Chris Semple can send you one
he can test off another car for a small fee. I
believe that due to the high cost and low availablity
of this part that they are NOT a common failure item.
I think the wiring connection gives up.
