This is the original alternator. I'll do all the testing suggested and
hopefully I'll find the culprit.(thanks every one!!!)
The Optima Yellow battery, I bought it at the local Battery Plus chain shop.
It was $10 and taxes more expensive than some place online, but it was here
(no shipping, and a heavy one + hazard bla-bla-bla...). I can't remember the
price (may be $170sh).
The good thing is that I drove 60 miles with no alternator, parked the car for
2 weeks, and it cranked the engine like nothing happened(I didn't notice the
alternator malfunction). The idea is that in a rally alternators/belts are
something that brake very often. If I can drive to service and replace
whatever is broken, it can save the day.
Later,
Carlos.
