Yes it will be louder than stock but definitely
quieter than the obtrusive tuned honda-esk noise
comming out of the swiss-cheese looking rear section
pipe currently.
Loudness is defitiely a factor, as I feel the stock
ANSA system is a bit too quiet with its dual mufflers.
But really I am looking for cost here and durability.
The extra 8 HP or so my otherwise stock 4kq would gain
is of low priority, the fact that I pay for only 1
muffler instead of 2 and the system is warranteed for
2 years and the muffler probably longer (being SS) is
what I am interested in.
Also, this means I have to do no work as I would
install the stock system myself and there is no
shipping costs.
In addition to this I have heard that the ANSA systems
do not hold up for very long.
Does anyone know what ANSA offers for a warranty?
Can anyone verify actually how loud this setup is
compared to stock?
As much as I would like a STEBRO for peice of mind,
performance and aesthetics, the price difference lets
me save more money for the MC-1/2 conversion (ya,
someday) as well as not having to deal with a then
obsolete performace part for my car (once magically
converted to a turbo by rich audi mechanic elves!)
I just really hate how cars rust to crap up here in
the northeast. Please tell me something bad happens to
cars in Arizona or some other non-salty area to make
me feel better.
