The interior light on your car should remain on after you close the doors. It should go
off automatically after a few minutes. Just close the door and wait patiently for a
copule of minutes.
If the light doesn't go off, look at the time-delay relay. It might be bad. Remove the
shelf under the steering wheel and look at the diagram that should be glued to the back of
the shelf, it
shows the relay arrangement. Write down the part number on the relay and get the same
thing from a wrecking yard for a few dollars. Many Audi/VW relays are interchangeable
across
models so you might find the right one in car different than yours. Or, send me an e-mail
with the part number, I might have the right relay in my basement. You could try it and
see if it
solves the problem. Good luck.
