The Sleeping Porsche awakens(LAC)

Some of you may recall that we've had, in the family, what was
infamously known as The Sleeping Porsche...a 1983 NA 944,
converted(after a timing belt snap) to a Calloway Turbo 944.
Back in 1996, it was introduced to the back end of a pontiac, and
pretty much taken out of commission; the engine dropped, various
pieces have been strewn across the basement until this spring when it
was sold to a new owner.
After the buyer installed enough of the suspension to roll+steer the
car(took all of an hour or so), we pushed it onto a trailer and said
goodbye.
Well, it's finished, and my father got the chance to drive it again a
few weeks ago. Mind you, he's got an '87 944 turbo that replaced
it(which is now a semi-stripped down track car), but he still said
"now I remember why I loved that car..."
Stats:
2.5L I-4(bored out, steel jacket, oversize pistons) 8v crossflow
8:0 compression ratio(from 9.5:1) via machined bowls on the pistons
IHI RHB6 turbo(big. See the pictures)
284HP. 230ftlb
custom manifolds, calloway exhaust(that big a 4 cyl, you can imagine
what a free-flowing exhaust sounded like. No, not 'like a Honda' :)
2830lb for a stock 944- add in a little change for the turbo, extra
plumbing, etc.
The current owner, who intends to use it as a daily driver(after all,
it was delivered with well over 200,000 miles on it already to him),
has set up a page with scans of the original calloway materials,
complete with my father's scribbling :-), photos of the car getting
fixed up, etc. It isn't 100% up to date(the black interior swap has
been finished, I think the car is pretty much done), but here it is:

I think that red 911 in his garage now has a serious challenge to its
'top dog' status :-)
