99 A6 Buying Advice (control arms)

I did a little research on AudiWorld, though Ti responded privately and
beat me to the punch...

It appears that the control arm bushings go bad and creak/groan. The
solution is to replace the control arms and bushings to the tune of
nearly $1000.
