quattro digest, Vol 1 #4079 - type 44 burnout

It would be quite impossible to do a forwards donut on
a FWD car. BACKWARDS, OTOH.....

This was obviously a VERY powerful type 44Q. Most
of our type44 tq's don't have the kind of power to do this,
but obviously there are SOME that do. All in all, I'd be
willing to bet that a number of UrQ or 4KTQ owners
could do this, if they really wanted to, the lightness of the
cars (especially when fitted with smaller tires) would
allow the proportional power to be able to do this.

Stiff springs help and shorter wheelbases help too.
For the record, the only way to pivot my Solo2 GTi is
on lift throttle, although with different tires front and back
on a slick surface, once the tail is pitched, you can hang
it. It's NOT the fast way around, but it IS fun.
