leave it alone and pray, mostly.  the previous engine the oil pump was
in usually had oil pressure, so the pump is probably fine.  Doesn't seem
to be a problem item, although I know "for sure" would be better than
"probable", right?

Drill out whichever bolts resist you, as pointed out, the stubs should
be easy to turn out.

Not for the oil pump cover bolts, he means the oil pump to block bolts.

the cover bolts you are fighting are 6 x 13 flat head (as you say,
countersunk), and the advice of using harder ones with allen heads is
probably a good idea.  Although, when are you ever going to take that
apart *again*?

As far as sourcing, an Audi dealer could get you the stock item.
otherwise, a little searching will find you any hardware you could
possibly describe... try maryland metrics, for instance.  (they may have
a rather obvious web site address - or not...)
