BLAU rear sway bar impressions, & strange blinker behavior (not related)

Hello all,

I recently installed the BLAU rear sway bar on my 84 CGT turbo, and
thought I would give my impressions. My CGT already had the 4KCSQ front
sway bar installed, as well as the Jamex upper stress bar. I had been
noticing a "loose" feel from the rear at higher speeds. Although to look
at it, the BLAU bar looks kinda thin (approx 3/4 inch), it really made a
huge difference in the overall feel of the car. Between my upgraded front
end, and now my upgraded rear the car feels much more "balanced".
Cornering at high speeds is less sketchy to say the least. Really nice to
feel like the rear end of the car is following the front rather than
making its own path!
I thought about using my CGT original front sway bar and fabricating some
brackets to be able to use it in the rear (as several listers have done
previously) but this kit required drilling 4 small holes and about 1/2
hour of my time. I feel this was money well spent (NO AFFILIATION W/BLAU).

ANYWAY....

Just a weird quirk I have noticed this week, the blinkers on my 86 4KCSQ
seem to blinker faster when it's cold!?! This morning as I left for work
the blinkers (dash light) were going so fast I thought I must have a bulb
out. Upon checking them, they were all working. About a 1/2 hour later as
I arrived to work (and the car was warmed up more) they seemed to return
to more of a normal speed. It did the same thing last night when I went
home, since the car had been sitting all day and was cold again - fast
blinkers, slowed down as the car warmed up. I have a spare relay for the
blinkers if this phenomenon gets worse, but thought I would ask if anyone
else has experienced this.
On a side note to this, my brother opened up his blinker relay on his 85
CGT and replaced a capacitor? - resistor? (not sure) and was able to make
his blinkers run faster (noticeably faster). Interesting mod, I thought.
Now my car is doing it by itself!

J. Lyons
