Intermitent temp gauge 200T

Hello
The water temp gauge in my 200T is not working fine lately. To be clear, the
first half doesn't work, however if the temp gets high enough as to reach
the middle position or higher, it pops up and start working. First thing I
did was getting another gauge clock, pull the instrument cluster out and
replace it, but no luck. Any ideas out there?
