Engine Block Grounds, Type 44TQ MC2

I spent a couple hours today putting in a huge direct ground between the
battery and the ISV bracket anchor bolt. I already had 10 gauge fine strand
copper wire from the battery to the eurolights, and I spliced into it for
the ISV ground. I'm working on an MC-1, but it isn't that different.

The brake warning light on startup went away. It had been coming on for 20
seconds at every startup, and nobody could explain it.

The engine runs smoother. The ISV doesn't hang up at 1,200-1,800 revs like
it once did randomly when I arrived at stop lights.

I am amazed and delighted.

Larry, you are onto something important with your "improved ground"
project. Scott Mockery advocates special attention to grounds on his web
site, and has been advocating it for years. So I always just polished up
all the engine grounds every few years. What seems to be required is a new
ground path.

Thanks, Larry. You changed my automotive life.

Keep up your investigations.
